Irresistibly chewy chocolate chip cookies with a perfect balance of crispy edges and gooey center.
Ingredients:
  • 3.75 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1.25 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1.25 cups unsalted butter, softened
  • 1.25 cups white sugar
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 1 (12 ounce) package semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
  • Combine flour, baking powder, salt, and baking soda in a medium bowl, whisking until well blended. Set aside.
  • In a stand mixer with a paddle attachment, cream butter and sugars until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, scraping down the sides of the bowl. Mix in vanilla until combined.
  • Lower the mixing speed and slowly incorporate the flour mixture until just combined. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Using a cookie scoop, form 1 1/2-inch balls of dough and place them 3 inches apart on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Freeze for 15 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F (225 degrees C) while you prepare the other ingredients.
  • Bake cookies in a preheated oven, rotating halfway through, until golden around the edges and slightly gooey inside, for about 8 minutes. Allow them to rest on the baking sheet for 4 to 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
