Ingredients:
  • 400g beef mince
  • 36.40 gm extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 sesame seed burger buns
  • 1/2 white onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 head iceberg lettuce, finely shredded
  • 2 slices tasty cheese
  • 2 large dill pickles, thinly sliced
  • 300g mayonnaise
  • 20.00 ml gherkin relish
  • 2 tsp white vinegar
  • Pinch of white pepper
  • 11.80 gm mild mustard
  • 1 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1.25 gm sweet smoked paprika (pimenton)
Instructions:
  • Make the Big Mac sauce by mixing all the ingredients in a bowl, adding salt to taste, and refrigerate until needed.
  • Season the mince with salt and pepper, then shape into 4 equal-sized balls using 1/3 cup mince each. Place each ball on a square of baking paper and flatten into four 15cm circles. Heat oil in a large frypan over high heat. Cook the beef patties in 2 batches for 1-2 minutes per side until charred and cooked through. Keep warm and repeat with the remaining two patties.
  • Slice each burger bun into three pieces horizontally, then toast gently.
  • Assemble the burgers by layering the bottom base with a dollop of Big Mac sauce, chopped onion, shredded lettuce, cheese slice, beef patty, and pickle slices. Add the middle bun layer, then spread with more sauce, onion, lettuce, pickles, beef patty, and finish with additional sauce. Finally, top with the burger lid before serving.
