Fail-proof indulgent chocolate dessert.
Ingredients:
  • 62.50 ml plain flour
  • 20.00 gm cocoa powder
  • 141.90 gm caster sugar
  • 56.10 gm desiccated coconut
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 257.50 gm milk
  • 85g butter, melted
  • Whipped cream, to serve
  • Toasted flaked coconut, to serve
  • 100g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 83.33 gm thickened cream
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 170C/150C fan-forced and grease an 18cm round (base) cake pan that is 3.5cm deep.
  • In a large bowl, combine sifted flour and cocoa with sugar, coconut, egg, milk, butter, and vanilla. Pour the mixture into a prepared pan and bake for 30 to 35 minutes, until the top is just firm and the center slightly wobbles. Let it stand for 5 minutes before serving.
  • While you wait, create the Chocolate Sauce by combining chocolate and cream in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high, stirring every 30 seconds, until melted and smooth, about 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Top the pie with luscious cream and crunchy toasted coconut, then generously drizzle with decadent chocolate sauce.
