Indulge in irresistible shortbread cookies with only butter, sugar, and flour!
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 0.5 cup superfine sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) and line a 9-inch square pan with foil, leaving extra foil overhang on all sides.
  • Blend butter and sugar until the texture is sandy. Gradually incorporate flour. Gently knead dough until crumbly, not smooth. Press dough onto the bottom of the pan. Poke holes all over with a fork.
  • Bake until firm for about 45 minutes in the preheated oven. Score with a knife while warm, then lift out foil and let cookies cool on a baking rack. Break along the scored lines once completely cooled.
