Indulge in a quick and flavorful rum and almond pound cake – ready in 20 minutes!
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
  • 1 package (10 3/4 ounces) frozen pound cake
  • 1/4 cup rum
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds
Instructions:
  • Prepare the grill for direct heat. Combine sour cream and brown sugar, then set aside.
  • Slice the frozen pound cake into 8 pieces. Sprinkle each slice with rum, spread with butter, and gently press almonds onto the buttered side. Arrange the cake slices on a grilling screen.
  • Cook the cake on the grill, uncovered, 4 to 6 inches from medium heat for about 5 minutes, turning once, until it is a golden brown color. Top the cake with the sour cream mixture before serving.
