Treat Mom to a beautiful edible bouquet - a perfect finger food for family gatherings or Mother's Day! Chill for 30 minutes for best results. Optional: add food coloring for a cute touch.
Ingredients:
  • 200g red and yellow grape tomatoes
  • 125g cream cheese, at room temperature, chopped
  • 37.60 gm sour cream
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 2 tsp finely grated lemon rind
Instructions:
  • In a shallow dish, place 20 short skewers (about 14cm). Add 12 drops of green food coloring. Wear gloves and roll the skewers in the food coloring to tint them. Transfer to a paper towel to dry.
  • Carefully slice a deep cross into each tomato and gently remove most of the seeds using the tip of a small knife, without worrying if some seeds are left behind.
  • In a bowl, blend cream cheese, sour cream, garlic, and lemon zest using electric beaters until smooth. Season with salt, then transfer the mixture into a piping bag or sealable plastic bag, cut off the tip, and pipe into tomatoes.
  • Skewer tomatoes to create a charming stem effect. Chill for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours, then serve fresh.
