Japanese-style pork chops coated in airy Panko breadcrumbs for a crispy finish.
Ingredients:
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon milk
  • 0.5 teaspoon minced garlic
  • salt to taste
  • 0.5 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup vegetable oil for frying
  • 8 thin cut boneless pork chops
  • 1.5 cups panko crumbs
Instructions:
  • Combine eggs, milk, garlic, salt and pepper in a medium bowl. Heat oil in a large heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Place panko crumbs in a shallow bowl.
  • After washing the pork chops, give them a dip in the egg mixture. Cover them in panko crumbs, then repeat the egg dip and coat with more panko crumbs. Place the coated chops on a plate while you finish the rest. For optimal results, allow them to sit for approximately 10 minutes to set the coating. Freeze if desired.
  • Place pork chops in the sizzling hot oil and cook for approximately 5 minutes per side until beautifully golden brown.
