Easy homemade air-fryer chicken katsu with minimal ingredients, ready fast. Enjoy with tonkatsu or BBQ sauce for dipping.
Ingredients:
  • 1 large egg
  • salt to taste
  • 1 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 0.75 pound chicken breast cutlets
  • avocado oil cooking spray
  • 1 tablespoon barbecue sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chopped green onions
Instructions:
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C as per manufacturer's instructions).
  • Lightly beat the egg with salt in a shallow bowl or small casserole dish, then spread out the panko bread crumbs on a plate.
  • Coat each cutlet in the egg mixture and let the extra drip off. Press the cutlets gently into the panko bread crumbs until both sides are well coated. Place on parchment paper, spray with cooking spray, and transfer to the air fryer basket.
  • Air-fry the dish for a total of 9 minutes, flipping halfway through. Serve drizzled with barbecue sauce and topped with sliced green onions.
