Sliced fresh peaches layered with strips of bread in a baking dish for a unique twist on a classic cobbler.
Ingredients:
  • 6 fresh peaches - pitted, skinned, and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup butter, melted
  • 5 slices white bread
Instructions:
  • Heat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously butter an 8-inch square baking dish.
  • Trim the crusts off the bread slices and cut each slice into 4 or 5 strips. Spread the fruit in the pan and top with a layer of the bread strips.
  • Cream butter, sugar, and flour, then add the egg. Pour the batter over the fruit and bread.
  • Bake until golden brown in a preheated oven for 35-45 minutes.
