Trick-or-Treat Brownie Cupcakes

Halloween costume brownie bites baked in a muffin pan.
Ingredients:
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Fudge Brownie Mix
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup white vanilla baking chips (6 oz)
  • 1 3/4 cups powdered sugar
  • 6 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 6 to 8 drops red food color
  • 6 to 8 drops yellow food color
  • 24 miniature candy bars
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F and grease 24 regular-size muffin cups. In a medium bowl, combine brownie mix, oil, water, and eggs. Spoon batter into muffin cups and bake for 13 to 18 minutes until the centers are set. Let cool for 30 minutes, then gently remove the brownies from the cups using a metal spatula.
  • Melt vanilla chips in a microwave-safe bowl on Medium (50%) power for 30 to 45 seconds, stirring every 15 seconds until smooth. Allow to cool briefly before using.
  • In a medium bowl, cream together powdered sugar, butter, milk, and food coloring until light and fluffy. Gently fold in melted vanilla chips. Spread the frosting over cooled cupcakes and garnish each with a candy bar.
