Transform your slow-cooker into an island getaway with just five ingredients for a taste of the tropics.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cans (15 oz each) tropical fruit salad in fruit juice, undrained
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ Yellow Cake Mix
  • 1 cup butter or margarine
Instructions:
  • Prepare your 6-quart slow cooker by spraying it with cooking spray. Set aside 1/2 cup of fruit juice from the fruit salad and then pour the rest of the juice and the fruit into the slow cooker.
  • Combine cornstarch and reserved fruit juice in a small bowl until completely dissolved, then pour the mixture into the slow cooker and stir well.
  • Layer brown sugar over the fresh, juicy fruit, followed by a sprinkle of cake mix. Top it off by evenly distributing small pieces of butter over the entire surface.
  • Cover and cook on Low heat setting for 3 hours, or until the cake is firm when lightly touched in the center.
  • Scoop warm cake into dessert bowls and generously top with fruit mixture.
