Tantalizing tuna casserole with bow tie pasta and savory mushrooms.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups bow tie pasta
  • 2 (5 ounce) cans tuna, drained
  • 1 (10 ounce) can mushrooms, drained
  • 1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1.3333333730698 cups milk
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter
  • 2 teaspoons dried thyme, crushed
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously grease a 1-quart casserole dish.
  • Bring a pot of seasoned boiling water to a vigorous boil. Cook pasta until al dente, about 8 to 10 minutes. Drain well.
  • Combine mushroom soup, milk, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl, mixing thoroughly. Add tuna, mushrooms, and pasta, mixing until well combined. Transfer mixture to a greased casserole dish.
  • Combine bread crumbs, butter, and fragrant thyme in a separate bowl, ensuring they are well mixed. Sprinkle this flavorful mixture over the tuna.
  • Bake in a hot oven until bubbly and golden, around 40 minutes.
