Cheesy tuna noodle casserole ready in one hour - a delightful dinner!
Ingredients:
  • 4 cups uncooked egg noodles (8 ounces)
  • 2 cans (6 1/8 ounces each) tuna, drained
  • 1 jar (2 ounces) diced pimientos, drained
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms (3 ounces)
  • 1 1/2 cups sour cream
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Romano cheese
  • 2 tablespoons margarine, butter or spread, melted
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°. Cook the noodles according to package instructions, then drain. Combine the noodles with tuna, pimientos, mushrooms, sour cream, milk, chives, salt, and pepper in a 2-quart casserole dish or 8x8x2 inches square baking dish without greasing.
  • Combine the breadcrumbs, cheese, and margarine, then evenly spread over the tuna mixture. Bake without covering for 35 to 40 minutes until it's hot and bubbly.
