Garlic-herb cream sauce makes tuna steaks irresistible, served on a bed of spinach for a quick, romantic meal for two.
Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 (5 ounce) tuna steaks
  • 1 pinch salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 0.33333334326744 cup fat-free half-and-half
  • 0.25 cup garlic-and-herb spreadable cheese (such as Alouette®)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 cups fresh spinach
Instructions:
  • Preheat a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add butter and let it melt until sizzling. Season tuna steaks with salt and pepper, then sear in the skillet for 3 to 4 minutes on each side. Transfer to a serving plate and cover to keep warm.
  • In the skillet, combine half-and-half and spreadable cheese until smooth. Stir in lemon juice. Reserve 2 tablespoons of the sauce. Add spinach to the skillet with the remaining sauce and cook until wilted, for 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Arrange the spinach evenly on 2 plates, place the tuna steaks on top, and drizzle the reserved sauce over the steaks before serving.
