Grilled Asian Tuna Steaks

Elevate tuna with a simple blend of soy sauce, garlic, and green onion for a flavorful dish.
Ingredients:
  • 1/4 cup lite soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 green onion, finely chopped
  • 2 (8-oz.) tuna steaks (about 1-inch thick)
Instructions:
  • In an 8-inch square (2-quart) glass baking dish, mix all ingredients except the tuna steaks thoroughly. Add the tuna and coat evenly. Allow it to marinate while you preheat the grill.
  • Preheat your gas or charcoal grill. Take the tuna out of the soy sauce mixture and set aside the mixture. Grill the tuna on medium heat for 10-12 minutes, flipping once and basting with the reserved soy sauce mixture until cooked through and opaque in the center.
  • In a small saucepan, heat up the remaining soy sauce mixture until it boils. Drizzle the warm soy sauce over the tuna before serving.
