One-pan turkey chops in savory mushroom gravy - a delicious and easy weeknight meal.
Ingredients:
  • 4 (5- to 7-ounce) turkey chops
  • 3/4 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt, divided
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper, divided
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons salted butter
  • 8 ounces cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 (14.5-ounce) can reduced-sodium chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup half-and-half
  • Chopped fresh parsley
Instructions:
  • Prepare all your ingredients.
  • Season turkey chops generously with flavorful poultry seasoning, along with a perfect balance of 1/4 teaspoon of salt, 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper, and a hint of cayenne pepper for a touch of heat.
  • In a shallow dish, generously coat the chops with flour, ensuring they are fully covered. Set aside about 2 tablespoons of flour for later use.
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat oil. Cook 2 chops at a time until beautifully browned and cooked through, about 6 minutes, turning once. Remove chops and cover to keep warm. Repeat with the rest of the chops.
  • If needed, clean the skillet to remove any remaining flour coating.
  • In the same skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add mushrooms and onion, and cook until tender, about 8 minutes, while scraping up the browned bits with a wooden spoon. Add garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  • Sprinkle reserved flour over vegetables and cook for 1 minute to remove raw flavor. Pour in broth and half and half, then season with remaining salt and pepper. Cook and stir until mixture thickens and bubbles, about 6 to 8 minutes.
  • Add the chops back into the skillet and heat for approximately 2 minutes until they are warmed through. Finish by adding a fresh garnish of parsley on top before serving.
