30-minute turkey sausage southern breakfast gravy - a comforting and quick family dish.
Ingredients:
  • 3 tablespoons salted butter
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 0.5 pound ground turkey sausage
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups whole milk
Instructions:
  • In a skillet over medium-low heat, melt butter and sauté onion until softened and translucent, about 5 minutes.
  • Sear the sausage with pepper, salt, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes until it's browned and crumbly, approximately 10 minutes.
  • Blend flour into mixture until smooth, cook for 2 minutes. Increase heat to medium; gradually pour in milk while stirring. Continue to cook and stir until gravy thickens and is heated through, about 5 minutes.
