Decadent chocolate tart with gooey Turkish Delight bars.
Ingredients:
  • 2 sheets frozen ready-rolled shortcrust pastry, partially thawed
  • 200g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 126.25 gm light thickened cream
  • 2 x 55g Turkish Delight chocolate bars, cut into 1cm-thick slices
  • 82.50 ml flaked almonds, toasted
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 200°C/180°C fan-forced. Grease four 2cm-deep, 12cm (base) round fluted flan tins. Cut each pastry sheet in half diagonally to create 4 triangles. Line the base and sides of each tin with 1 piece of pastry, trimming any excess. Place the tins on a baking tray and chill in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.
  • Bake pastry until golden, for 12 to 15 minutes. Allow to cool for 5 minutes before serving.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate and cream. Microwave on high for 1 minute or until smooth, stirring halfway through. Spread Turkish Delight over tart bases, pour chocolate mixture on top, and sprinkle with almonds. Chill for 2 hours until firm. Serve and enjoy!
