Irresistible twice-baked potatoes, a favorite at ThanksgivingRecipe.com.
Ingredients:
  • 4 large baking potatoes
  • 4 tablespoons milk
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 0.25 cup shredded mild Cheddar cheese
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Prepare the baking potatoes by gently cleaning and scrubbing them. Use a fork to pierce the skin once or twice. Bake them at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for about 1 hour until they are tender yet firm.
  • Allow the potatoes to cool for a moment. Halve the baked potatoes and carefully remove the flesh, leaving a 1/4-inch border around the edges. Combine the potato flesh with milk, salt, and butter to your liking, then refill the shells with the mashed mixture and top with grated cheddar cheese. Arrange the potatoes on a baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) until the cheese is gooey and melted, about 15 minutes.
