Cheesy Bisquick® straws paired with pasta sauce - a perfect appetizer.
Ingredients:
  • 2 1/2 cups Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (2 oz)
  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine, softened
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan Cheese
  • Tomato pasta sauce, if desired, heated
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Grease cookie sheets. Combine Bisquick mix, milk, and Cheddar cheese in a large bowl until a soft dough forms.
  • Divide the dough in half. Roll one half on a surface dusted with Bisquick mix into a 9x6-inch rectangle. Spread half of the butter over the dough and sprinkle with 1 tablespoon of Parmesan cheese. Cut the dough lengthwise into 18 (1/2-inch) strips. Repeat with the second half of the dough.
  • Twist each dough strip tightly and place on cookie sheets. Bake for 6 to 8 minutes until light golden brown. Serve with pasta sauce.
