Indulgent chocolate chip cookies - crispy outside, chewy inside. Perfect for sharing and guaranteed to impress!
Ingredients:
  • 2 1/4 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup coarsely chopped nuts, if desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl, and set it aside for later use.
  • In a large bowl, cream softened butter and sugars on medium speed using an electric mixer until fluffy, about 1 minute, scraping down the sides of the bowl occasionally. Mix in the egg and vanilla until smooth.
  • Gently fold in the flour mixture until just combined, being careful not to overmix (the dough will be stiff). Add in the chocolate chips and nuts.
  • Scoop dough onto parchment-lined or ungreased cookie sheets, spacing each rounded tablespoonful 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until lightly browned with soft centers. Let cool for 2 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack. Allow to cool completely for about 30 minutes before storing in an airtight container.
