Decadent double chocolate chip cookies with a rich hot fudge flavor. Thick, chewy, and the ultimate chocolate experience.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound semisweet chocolate, chopped
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup Dutch process cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 10 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1.5 cups packed brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons instant coffee granules
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Instructions:
  • Carefully melt the chocolate until smooth using a double boiler or microwave. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt, and set aside.
  • In a medium bowl, whip together butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until silky. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in coffee crystals and vanilla until thoroughly combined. Now blend in melted chocolate. Fold in the dry ingredients gently with a wooden spoon until combined. Cover and allow to rest for 35 minutes for the chocolate to firm up.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare two cookie sheets with parchment paper.
  • Form dough into walnut-sized balls or use a rounded tablespoon to drop onto cookie sheets, ensuring 2 inches of space between each cookie.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes until the cookies are set with soft centers due to the chocolate. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
