Indulge in decadent chocolate pudding topped with fluffy whipped cream for a delightful dessert.
Ingredients:
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened Dutch processed baking cocoa
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • 1/3 cup butter, cut into pieces
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • Whipped cream, if desired
Instructions:
  • In a 2-quart saucepan, whisk together sugar, cocoa, cornstarch, and salt. Gradually pour in milk while stirring. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the pudding boils and thickens, about 8 to 10 minutes. Reduce heat to medium-low and continue cooking for an additional 2 minutes.
  • Take the mixture off the heat and delicately mix in the butter and vanilla until the butter is completely melted. Transfer the mixture into a large bowl and cover the surface directly with plastic wrap to avoid forming a skin. Let it cool for 10 minutes. Enjoy warm or refrigerate until ready to serve. Top it off with a dollop of whipped cream for the finishing touch.
