Award-winning chewy maple cookies loved by all.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 teaspoons baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1.5 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 cup margarine, softened
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 3 tablespoons real maple syrup
  • 1 egg
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 0.25 cup maple sugar
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), then combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and cinnamon. Let it sit while you prepare the remaining ingredients.
  • Combine margarine and 1 cup of white sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy. Mix in the egg and maple syrup. Gradually add and mix in the dry ingredients until just combined. In a small dish, combine the remaining 1/2 cup white sugar and maple sugar. Roll dough into 1-inch balls and coat them with the sugar mixture. Space cookies 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets before baking.
  • Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven until cookies are crackly on top and slightly wet in the middle. Then, transfer to wire racks to cool.
