Exciting and flavorful cornbread recipe for Days of Unleavened Bread.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 0.25 cup shortening, melted
  • 1 cup milk
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and prepare a muffin pan by greasing it or lining with muffin papers.
  • Combine cornmeal, flour, sugar, and salt in a large bowl. Create a well in the center, then add egg, shortening, and milk. Mix until fully combined. Divide batter into muffin cups.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean.
