Bake succulent shrimp in a spicy, buttery bacon sauce with Dijon mustard. Perfect as an appetizer or over pasta for a classy dish.
Ingredients:
  • 3 slices bacon
  • 0.75 cup butter
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard (such as Grey Poupon Country Mustard™)
  • 1.5 teaspoons chili powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 0.25 teaspoon dried basil
  • 0.25 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 0.5 cup dry white wine
  • 1 tablespoon seafood seasoning (such as Old Bay®)
  • 2 pounds uncooked medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • Fry the bacon in a spacious deep skillet on medium-high heat until perfectly browned, approximately for 10 minutes.
  • Place the crispy bacon on a paper-lined plate to drain while keeping the flavorful bacon grease in the skillet. Once it has cooled slightly, chop the bacon into small pieces.
  • Combine butter and bacon grease in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté diced bacon, Dijon mustard, chili powder, red pepper flakes, basil, thyme, onion, and garlic until onion is soft, around 5 minutes.
  • Mix the wine and seafood seasoning into the onions, then add the shrimp and toss until coated.
  • Transfer the shrimp and onion mixture into a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Cook the dish in the hot oven until the shrimp turn bright pink on the outside and the meat is no longer transparent in the center, approximately 20 minutes.
