Ingredients:
  • 150g butter, softened
  • 161.25 gm caster sugar
  • 4.40 gm vanilla extract
  • 375.00 ml plain flour
  • 12.00 gm baking powder, sifted
  • 193.13 gm milk
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 160C, then generously grease and line a 20cm-diameter cake tin with baking paper.
  • Cream together butter, sugar, and vanilla until light and fluffy. Slowly incorporate eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition. Combine flour, baking powder, and milk, and mix until smooth. Transfer batter into prepared baking tin.
  • Bake in the oven for 50 minutes or until a skewer inserted comes out clean. Then, cool by turning out onto a wire rack.
