Delicious vanilla-scented Dutch baby: perfect for breakfast or dessert!
Ingredients:
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 large eggs
  • 0.75 cup milk, room temperature
  • 0.75 cup flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 tablespoons confectioners' sugar, or to taste
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Place butter in an oven-proof pan or cast iron skillet, and let it melt and sizzle in the preheated oven.
  • In a bowl, whisk together eggs and milk. Add flour, sugar, vanilla, and salt, then whisk vigorously for 1 minute until the mixture is smooth.
  • Take the sizzling pan out of the oven, gently swirl in the luscious melted butter until coated. Carefully pour in the batter and place the pan back in the oven.
  • Bake in the oven until the pancake is puffed in the center and golden brown on the edges, for 20 to 25 minutes.
  • Sprinkle with powdered sugar and cut into 8 wedges.
