Irresistible chocolate cake with rich chocolate frosting for a kid-approved treat.
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon distilled white vinegar
  • 0.33333334326744 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup water
  • 0.25 cup butter
  • 0.25 cup milk
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously grease a 9-inch square pan.
  • Combine flour, 1 cup of sugar, 1/4 cup cocoa, baking soda, and salt. Add vinegar, oil, water, and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Mix until smooth. Transfer batter to the pan.
  • After baking at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 30 to 35 minutes, allow the cake to cool before generously spreading chocolate icing on top.
  • For Chocolate Icing: In a saucepan, mix 1 cup of sugar, 1/4 cup of cocoa, milk, and butter. Boil for 1 minute. Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla and stir until slightly cooled. Spread on cake.
