Timeless walnut balls with a secret family recipe, lightly sweetened with superfine sugar.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup butter, softened
  • 1.125 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 0.125 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 0.5 cup super fine sugar
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) while lining a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine white sugar and butter until creamy. Add flour, nuts, salt, and vanilla, then mix until well combined. The dough will have a crumbly texture.
  • Roll dough into perfectly sized 1-inch balls and place them on the baking sheet.
  • Place in the oven and bake for 15 minutes until golden brown.
  • Cool cookies on the baking sheet for 3 minutes, then coat with superfine sugar. Optionally, roll in more superfine sugar after completely cooling.
