Colorful turkey slaw with fresh veggies and savory sauce - a quick, hearty weeknight meal.
Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon chipotle hot sauce (such as Cholula®)
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1.5 teaspoons minced ginger
  • 1 teaspoon agave syrup
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 0.5 tablespoon ground black pepper
  • 1 (8 ounce) package coleslaw mix
  • 0.5 red bell pepper, diced
  • 2 green onions, chopped, or more to taste
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Instructions:
  • Combine chipotle hot sauce, rice vinegar, soy sauce, ginger, and agave syrup in a small bowl, creating a flavorful sauce.
  • In a wok or large skillet over medium heat, warm olive oil and sesame oil. Add ground turkey and cook while breaking up clumps until juices run clear, about 6 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, then transfer to a bowl while keeping the flavorful juices in the wok.
  • In a sizzling wok, toss together coleslaw mix, red bell pepper, green onions, and garlic until slaw is gently wilted, about 1 to 2 minutes. Pour in the sauce and stir for another minute until well-mixed. Add the turkey back into the mix and stir until heated through, about 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Before enjoying, generously scatter sesame seeds over the slaw for an added touch of flavor and crunch.
