Wholesome breakfast treat with wheat germ and whole-wheat pastry flour.
Ingredients:
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 0.25 cup canola oil
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 0.5 cup wheat germ
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1.5 cups whole wheat pastry flour
Instructions:
  • Combine eggs, oil, and buttermilk in a medium bowl. Add baking soda, wheat germ, salt, and flour. Mix until well combined.
  • Preheat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium-high heat. Pour or scoop 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake onto the griddle. Cook until golden brown on both sides, flipping once.
