"Nutritious pancakes with wheat germ and whole wheat flour, perfect for guilt-free indulgence with a side of bacon!"
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup wheat germ
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3 cups buttermilk
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Evenly sprinkle wheat germ on a baking sheet.
  • Toast the wheat germ in the preheated oven for about 5 minutes until golden brown. Let it cool slightly before transferring it to a large bowl.
  • Combine flour, baking soda, and salt with wheat germ. In a separate bowl, whisk together buttermilk, eggs, and oil until smooth; pour this mixture into the flour mixture and gently stir until just combined.
  • Preheat griddle over medium-high heat and spray with cooking spray. Pour 1/4 cup batter portions onto griddle and cook until bubbles form and edges are dry, around 2 minutes. Flip and cook until browned on the other side, about 3 minutes. Repeat with rest of the batter.
