Decadent homemade chocolate gift with a moist and sticky texture.
Ingredients:
  • 185g white chocolate
  • 150g chopped unsalted butter
  • 215.00 gm caster sugar
  • 312.50 ml plain flour
  • 2.00 gm baking powder
  • 3 lightly beaten eggs
  • 100g roughly chopped glace cherries
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 170°C. Prepare a 20cm square cake pan by greasing and lining it with non-stick baking paper.
  • In a heatproof bowl, combine chocolate and butter and place it over a saucepan with simmering water, ensuring the bowl doesn't touch the water. Stir occasionally with a metal spoon until the chocolate is melted and smooth. Let it cool.
  • In a large bowl, combine caster sugar, flour, and baking powder. Create a well in the center and mix in eggs and the chocolate mixture. Gently fold in glace cherries until just combined. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a skewer inserted in the center comes out slightly sticky. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool entirely. Slice, wrap, and give as gifts.
