Decadent white chocolate cherry filling complements rich chocolate base and glaze perfectly.
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 oz unsweetened baking chocolate
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream
  • 1 bag (12 oz) white vanilla baking chips (2 cups)
  • 1 cup dried cherries, chopped
  • 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 9-inch square pan with shortening and lightly flour, or use baking spray with flour.
  • In a 2-quart saucepan, melt 1/2 cup of butter with unsweetened chocolate over medium heat, stirring constantly. Once melted, remove from heat and let cool for 5 minutes. Mix in eggs, brown sugar, flour, and vanilla until the batter is smooth. Spread the batter evenly in the pan.
  • Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow to cool in the pan on a cooling rack for about 30 minutes.
  • In a 1-quart saucepan, gently heat whipping cream and white baking chips until just boiling over medium heat, stirring often. Take off the heat, then mix in cherries. Spread the filling over the brownies and chill for about 30 minutes until firm.
  • Place chocolate chips and butter in a small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on High for 30 seconds, then stir. Microwave for an additional 15 seconds, then stir until smooth. Spread the glaze over the filling, refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, slice into 8 rows by 6 rows for brownies. Store any leftovers covered in the refrigerator.
