Indulge in simple and delicious white chocolate drop cookies.
Ingredients:
  • 1 bag (10 ounces) white vanilla baking chips (1 2/3 cups)
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 2/3 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 1/2 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1 cup coarsely chopped macadamia nuts
  • Paste icing color
  • 16 ounces vanilla-flavored candy coating (almond bark), melted
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 325°F. Melt 1 cup of baking chips in a 2-cup microwavable measuring cup on Medium (50%) for 3 to 4 minutes until softened. Stir until smooth and cool before using.
  • In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to blend sugar, butter, vanilla, and eggs until creamy. Gradually mix in melted chips on low speed. Fold in flour, baking soda, and cream of tartar. Gently stir in the remaining 2/3 cup of baking chips and nuts.
  • Scoop rounded teaspoonfuls of dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes until lightly golden. Let cool for 2 minutes then transfer to a wire rack.
  • Blend in paste icing color gradually to the melted coating until reaching the desired color. Avoid using liquid food color as it can thicken the coating. Dip half of each cookie into the colored coating and transfer to waxed paper to set.
