Indulgent macadamia nut and white chocolate chip cookies, perfect for entertaining guests.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup butter, softened
  • 0.75 cup packed brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup shortening
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 1.5 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 7 ounces macadamia nuts, chopped
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 350°F (180°C) and grease your cookie sheets with care.
  • Cream together the butter and shortening until soft and creamy. Gradually add the sugars and beat until well combined.
  • Combine the egg and vanilla, then beat thoroughly until mixed.
  • Mix together the flour, soda, and salt. Slowly add this mixture to the butter mixture, beating well after each addition. Gently fold in the chips and nuts.
  • Spoon the dough onto greased cookie sheets in rounded teaspoonfuls. Bake for 10-12 minutes until done, then transfer to wire racks to cool.
