Ingredients:
  • 180ml (3/4 cup) water
  • 1 chicken style stock cube
  • 60ml (1/4 cup) dry white wine
  • 60g butter
  • 30.00 ml plain flour
Instructions:
  • Mix together the water, stock cube, and wine.
  • In a saucepan, melt butter until bubbly, then gradually whisk in flour to create a smooth roux. Allow to cook for about 1 minute.
  • Take the mixture off the heat and gently pour in all of the liquid.
  • Return the mixture to the heat and stir continuously until it boils and thickens.
