Whip up a delicious and quick turkey sausage pasta puttanesca using Muir Glen® sauce for a satisfying Italian meal in 15 minutes!
Ingredients:
  • 8 oz uncooked whole wheat angel hair (capellini) pasta
  • 1 jar (24 oz) Muir Glen™ organic fire roasted tomato pasta sauce
  • 1/4 cup coarsely chopped pitted kalamata olives
  • 1 teaspoon anchovy paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 lb Italian turkey sausage links, casings removed
  • 3 tablespoons small fresh basil leaves
Instructions:
  • Prepare the pasta according to package instructions, then drain.
  • In a 2-quart saucepan, bring pasta sauce, olives, anchovy paste, and pepper flakes to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring frequently. Lower the heat and simmer for 3 minutes.
  • Coat a 12-inch skillet generously with cooking spray and heat over medium-high heat. Cook the sausage for 4 minutes, stirring to crumble, until fully cooked. Drain any excess grease, if needed.
  • Combine the sauce and pasta in the skillet, ensuring everything is coated evenly. Garnish each serving with fresh basil before enjoying.
