Witlof with sashimi tuna

Try this exquisite sashimi tuna wrapped in crisp witlof for a gourmet appetizer.
Ingredients:
  • 24.00 gm sesame seeds
  • 500g tuna, skin removed, cut into 1cm cubes
  • 82.50 ml loosely packed finely chopped fresh chives
  • 20.00 ml finely grated fresh ginger
  • 42.00 gm soy sauce
  • 2 tsp mirin
  • 20 yellow witlof leaves
Instructions:
  • Toast sesame seeds in a non-stick pan over medium heat, stirring constantly, for about 2 minutes until golden brown.
  • Mix together the tuna, chives, ginger, soy sauce, mirin, and sesame seeds in a bowl.
  • Lay out the witlof beautifully on a platter. Fill each piece with the delicious tuna mixture. Serve promptly to enjoy at its best.
