Decadent vintage brownies packed with chocolate chips, pecans, and topped with a luxurious whipped ganache frosting.
Ingredients:
  • 2 (12 ounce) bags semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 0.66666668653488 cup butter
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1.5 cups heavy cream
  • 0.25 cup butter
  • 1 (12 ounce) bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
  • In a saucepan, gently melt a 12-ounce package of chocolate chips with 2/3 cup of butter over low heat, stirring until smooth. Be vigilant to prevent burning. Once melted, transfer to a large bowl. Gradually beat in sugar, then mix in eggs two at a time. Fold in flour and salt until combined, followed by the vanilla extract. Carefully fold in another package of chocolate chips and pecans. Spread batter in the baking pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 35 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center of the brownies comes out with moist crumbs. Let cool completely after removing from the oven.
  • Combine cream and 1/4 cup of butter in a saucepan over low heat till the butter melts, stirring constantly. Add the remaining 1 12-ounce bag of chocolate chips and stir until fully melted. Transfer to a mixing bowl and beat on Medium speed with an electric mixer for about 1 minute. Chill the frosting for 45 minutes to 1 hour, stirring occasionally, until thickened to the consistency of thick cream. Using an electric mixer, beat the frosting until stiff peaks form, about 3 to 5 minutes. Spread on cooled brownies.
