Quick and savory Alfredo gnocchi with Italian sausage and broccoli - a delicious meal ready in under 30 minutes using pantry staples.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (16 ounce) package frozen chopped broccoli
  • 1 pound bulk Italian sausage
  • 1 (16 ounce) package potato gnocchi
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 (15 ounce) jar Alfredo sauce
  • 0.25 cup water
  • 0.25 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground black pepper, or more to taste
Instructions:
  • Microwave broccoli in a microwave-safe dish for 7 minutes.
  • As the broccoli simmers, boil a large pot of lightly salted water over high heat.
  • Heat a large, deep skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the sausage until crumbly and almost crunchy, about 10 minutes, while scraping the browned bits from the bottom of the pan with a metal spatula.
  • Cook the gnocchi in boiling water until they rise to the surface, about 2 to 4 minutes.
  • Once the gnocchi is cooking, melt butter in a skillet with sausage, garlic, and Italian seasoning. Reduce the heat and sauté for 1 minute. Mix in Alfredo sauce. Fill the empty sauce jar with water, shake, and add to the skillet. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese, then toss in cooked broccoli and season with pepper.
  • Transfer the cooked gnocchi from the water to the skillet and mix with sausage and broccoli until combined.
