Create delicious air fryer ham and cheese hot pockets using simple 2-ingredient dough.
Ingredients:
  • 1.25 cups self-rising flour
  • 1 cup fat-free Greek yogurt (such as Fage®)
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • 8 ounces thinly sliced deli ham
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon water
  • nonstick cooking spray
Instructions:
  • In a large bowl, mix flour and Greek yogurt until a crumbly dough forms. Transfer to a lightly floured surface and knead until smooth, adding more flour as needed to prevent sticking, for about 3 minutes.
  • Separate the dough into 4 equal parts, then shape and flatten each into a 4x7-inch rectangle measuring about 4 1/8-inch thick.
  • Spread the dough pieces with flavorful Dijon mustard, add a generous layer of Swiss cheese, and top with folded ham slices that fit perfectly. Pull up the long sides of the dough to meet and pinch to seal. Tuck the ends under, creating beautiful dough pockets. Whisk together egg and water, then brush the dough pockets with the shiny egg wash.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 360°F (180°C) for 3 minutes, then lightly coat the air basket with cooking spray or line with parchment paper.
  • Arrange the dough pockets in the basket with the seam side facing down, ensuring they are spaced apart.
  • Fry until golden brown for 9 to 10 minutes, possibly in batches based on air fryer size and brand. Place hot pockets on a wire rack, let them cool for 3 to 5 minutes, then serve hot.
