Air fryer blackened chicken: Smoky, tender chicken with crispy spices in minutes. No smoke, just flavor!
Ingredients:
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon ground thyme
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 0.5 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
  • 2 (6 ounce) skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
Instructions:
  • Combine paprika, thyme, cumin, cayenne, onion powder, black pepper, and salt in a bowl, then spread the mixture onto a large plate.
  • Heat up your air fryer to 360 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Coat each chicken breast with oil and generously cover all sides with the spice mixture. Allow the chicken to marinate for 5 minutes as the air fryer heats up. Transfer the chicken to the air fryer basket.
  • Air-fry the chicken for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until fully cooked and the juices run clear. Ensure the internal temperature reaches at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C) when checked with an instant-read thermometer.
  • Place the cooked chicken on a plate and allow it to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
