Upgrade snack time with cheesy tuna melts in the air fryer, using Coles garlic bread for extra decadence and Flame Grilled Burger Sauce for creaminess. Add a zingy kick with pickling liquid for a delicious twist. For more budget-friendly summer lunch ideas, try bacon and mushroom mini quiches, green goodness chicken sandwich, or summer pasta salad.
Ingredients:
  • 425g can Simply Tuna in Vegetable Oil, drained
  • 60g (1/4 cup) Flame Grilled Burger Sauce, plus 2 tbsp extra
  • 2 dill pickles, finely chopped, plus 40.00 ml pickling liquid
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced
  • 2 green shallots, thinly sliced
  • 2 x 270g packets Simply Garlic Bread Slices
  • 100g (1 cup) pre-grated mozzarella
Instructions:
  • Combine tuna, burger sauce, pickles, pickling liquid, lemon juice, and shallot in a bowl, mixing well.
  • Lay half of the garlic bread slices, buttered-side down, on a board. Spread extra burger sauce onto each slice, then add the tuna mixture and mozzarella. Place the remaining garlic bread slices on top, buttered-side up.
  • In batches, air fry until golden at 200C for 7-8 minutes. Serve hot.
