Irresistible air-fried potato and cheese balls drenched in melted garlic butter.
Ingredients:
  • 1kg white potatoes, unpeeled
  • 100g salted butter, chopped
  • 4 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 20.00 ml chopped fresh continental parsley leaves or chives
  • 100g (1 cup) pre-grated 3 cheese blend
  • 40g (¼ cup) plain flour
  • 2 eggs, lightly whisked
  • 41.20 gm milk
  • 100g (2 cups) panko breadcrumbs
Instructions:
  • Air fry potatoes at 180°C for 30 minutes until tender. Rest for 15 minutes until slightly cooled. Peel and mash until smooth.
  • Mix together the butter, garlic, parsley, and 1 tsp sea salt in a bowl. Shape the mixture into a 12cm long log with a 2cm diameter. Wrap in baking paper and refrigerate until firm.
  • Combine cheese with potato until fully mixed. Form mixture into four balls.
  • Cut the log of garlic butter in half crosswise, then in half lengthwise. Press one piece into each potato ball, shaping them into ovals. Repeat with the rest of the butter and potato balls.
  • Spread flour on a plate. Mix eggs and milk in a bowl. In a separate bowl, put panko. Roll potato ball in the flour, then egg mixture, then panko, gently press to coat. Double coat by repeating the egg and panko dips. Repeat with the rest of the potato balls.
  • Add 2 kievs to the air fryer basket, spray with oil, and air fry at 180°C for 10 minutes. Then, repeat with the rest of the kiev.
