Transformed classic cob loaf into a crispy air fryer party favorite with minimal ingredients. A must-have for any gathering.
Ingredients:
  • 450g cob loaf
  • 250g frozen spinach, thawed
  • 18.20 gm olive oil
  • 1 brown onion, finely chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 250g cream cheese, at room temperature, chopped
  • 200g sour cream
  • 125ml (1/2 cup) pure cream
  • 75g (3/4 cup) shredded 3 cheese mix
  • 35g sachet salt-reduced French onion soup mix
  • 3 green shallots, thinly sliced
Instructions:
  • Trim the top of the cob loaf by 4cm. Hollow out the center to create a 1.5cm-thick shell. Tear or chop the removed bread into pieces along with the top of the loaf. Place all pieces in the air fryer, generously spray with oil. Air-fry at 160C for 8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway. Serve on a platter.
  • Squeeze spinach with your hands to remove excess liquid.
  • In a large frying pan over medium-high heat, heat the oil. Sauté the onion and garlic for 5 minutes or until softened, stirring frequently. Lower the heat and add spinach, cream cheese, sour cream, pure cream, shredded cheese, and soup mix. Stir until well combined and smooth. Take off the heat, stir in most of the shallot, and season with pepper.
  • Fill loaf with spinach mixture, seal with foil, air fry at 160C for 15 minutes. Uncover, air fry for 5 more minutes until bread is crispy and dip is heated through.
  • Top the cob loaf with the remaining onion and serve alongside crispy toasted bread pieces.
