Air fryer steak and cheese hoagie melts: Juicy steak, veggies, and gooey cheese in a crispy roll.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound beef rib-eye steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 medium onion, sliced into petals
  • 4 ounces sliced baby portobello mushrooms
  • 0.5 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 4 slices Provolone cheese
Instructions:
  • In a bowl, marinate the steak with Worcestershire and soy sauce. Cover and refrigerate for 4 hours to overnight. Before cooking, allow the steak to sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (190°C) for optimal results.
  • In a large bowl, toss together onions, mushrooms, and bell peppers. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt, ground mustard, and pepper. Mix well to ensure everything is coated evenly.
  • Toast hoagie rolls in the air fryer until golden and crispy, approximately 2 minutes. Remove the rolls and plate them.
  • Cook the steak in the air fryer basket for 3 minutes, stir, and cook for an additional minute before transferring to a plate.
  • Place the vegetable mix in the air fryer basket and air fry for 5 minutes. Stir the vegetables and air fry for an additional 5 minutes or until softened.
  • Add the steak to the flavorful vegetable mix, then layer overlapping cheese slices on top. Cook until the cheese is gooey and bubbling, roughly 3 minutes. Spoon everything onto toasted rolls and enjoy right away.
