Air fried chicken thighs stuffed with turkey and melty Swiss cheese - a speedy twist on classic chicken cordon bleu.
Ingredients:
  • 6 ounces Swiss cheese
  • 1 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 1 tablespoon sazon seasoning
  • 0.5 cup flour, divided
  • 2 large eggs
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 6 slices turkey lunch meat
  • 6 medium boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • nonstick cooking spray
Instructions:
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  • Slice Swiss cheese into six 2 1/2-inch squares.
  • In a shallow dish, mix bread crumbs, 2 teaspoons of sazonador seasoning, and 1 tablespoon of flour. In another shallow dish, combine the remaining flour and sazonador seasoning. In a third shallow dish, whisk eggs until yellow and frothy, then season with salt and pepper.
  • Place a slice of Swiss cheese on each slice of turkey meat, then gently wrap the turkey around the Swiss cheese.
  • 1. Stuff each chicken thigh with a turkey-cheese bundle and roll it up. 2. Coat each bundle in flour mixture, then dip in egg mixture and bread crumbs until fully covered. 3. Spray bundles with nonstick spray and air fry seam-side down.
  • Coat each bundle in flour, tapping off any extra. Then dip in egg, allowing any excess to drip off. Press into panko breadcrumbs to cover evenly.
  • Lower the air fryer temperature to 380 degrees F (193 degrees C) and air fry the chicken for 15 minutes. Flip the bundles, spritz with nonstick spray, then reduce the air fryer temperature to 370 degrees F (187 degrees C). Continue air frying until the chicken is fully cooked, about 8 minutes more. Serve right away.
