Effortless apple pie with a delicious crustless topping, using a mix of apple varieties for a flavorful twist.
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons cold milk
  • 1.5 teaspoons white sugar
  • 6 Fuji apples, cored and sliced
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 0.75 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) for the perfect bake.
  • Combine 1 1/2 cups flour, oil, milk, 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar, and salt in a large bowl until well mixed. Press the dough evenly into a 9-inch pie pan, ensuring it covers the bottom and sides. Crimp the edges of the dough around the perimeter.
  • For the filling, combine 3/4 cup sugar, 3 tablespoons flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Toss with apples until coated, then spread evenly in the unbaked pie shell.
  • Prepare the topping by using a pastry cutter to combine 1/2 cup of flour, 1/2 cup of sugar, and butter until the mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle it over the apples.
  • Place the pie on a baking sheet to catch any drips. Bake for 45 minutes.
